What is Biodiesel?
Biodiesel is made in part from soybeans grown by farmers. It’s a fuel used for diesel trucks, cars, buses and tractors.
Who uses it?
Many national parks and city governments use biodiesel for their trucks and buses. Thousands of school buses throughout the country run on it too. Ask your principal if you are riding on a biodiesel school bus.
Is it Good For Our Environment?
Biodiesel helps keep our air cleaner and prevents global warming. In fact, the soybean oil used in it is safer for you than common table salt.
Is it Healthy?
Biodiesel fuel is better for our hearts and lungs than regular petroleum. That means a lot less huffing and puffing!
Why is Biodiesel So Important?
The whole country is getting pumped about biodiesel because it’s renewable, so we won’t have to worry about running out! It’s also made in the USA, making us more energy independent.
